Herbal Remedies for Cold and Flu – How to Boost the Immune System with Chai Tea

I love to make chai tea throughout the
cold and flu season first of all it’s absolutely delicious but it’s very
warming to the body so it’s a nice preventative and even if you do catch a
cold or flu just about every ingredient in the chai boosts the immune system and
they all store really well so it’s very easy to keep on hand to make it for each
cup of water I’m going to add two slices of ginger real thin slices you don’t
have to peel it first 2 cardamom pods I’m going to also add 1/2 a cinnamon
stick 3 peppercorns and 2 cloves I’m going to cover that up and let that
simmer on low for about 10 minutes or so when that’s done I can go ahead and
strain that directly into my cup and then I’m going to add some green tea
which has its own medicinal benefits too and then just let that steep for about
5-10 minutes more and it’s ready to drink if you like you can sweeten it
with a little bit of honey just as much as you like to taste it could be a
teaspoon some people like a little bit more depends on your preference and some
people really like to splurge and top it off with some nice frothy milk for my
