introduce holistic massage. Holistic Massage is a therapeutic bodywork incorporating a range of massage techniques to promote general well-being by alleviating physical and emotional tensions. Massage works on the physical level by improving circulation and lymphatic drainage, aiding the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the
cells whilst eliminating toxins and releasing muscular tensions. Massage can also aid relaxation by calming the nervous system where governs heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, and digestion function. Before your initial session, you will receive a consultation with your therapist to discuss your main concerns, general health and lifestyle, such as sleeping pattern, stress level and diet, so that your therapist will be able
to treat you holistically by addressing all factors which may be the root causes of your health concerns. Each treatment will be tailored to your individual needs and the pressure will be adjusted according to your preference. Depending on the techniques used and the degree and rhythm of the pressure, massage can make you feel more alert or calm you down. While strong and vigorous massage help to ease muscular tensions, improving mobility and flexibility, slow and gentle massage technique can trigger the release of endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers. Also lowers
the levels of stress hormones, such as cortisol, which can weaken the immune system.
