Plan for studying MBBS with MD/MS and prepare simultaneously for FMGE / USMLE with online support and mock tests. Be well informed for making the right Decision. I am concentrating on marketing `Study MEDICINE abroad’ in more than 35 universities depending on the budget. All are approved by WHO & MCI.
I am from OC category and it is impossible to get a seat in India with 90% marks in the qualifying examination. Half the seats are gone in reservations. So, you are sure of not getting a seat in government medical college. For this reason, I had sent my son abroad. But there are many who are not aware of this problem and the opportunities available.
    • Why waste time and money in joining the alternate careers like BDS, BUMS. BHMS, BVMS, BPARM or BSc?
    • Why compromise on your DREAM of becoming a DOCTOR, when you can become one at the same cost (15-35 lac rupees approx)?
    • And if you have the budget of studying in a private medical college after paying donation (65 lac rupees), why not plan for studying (in part) in USA?
    • If you are in doubt, you can take Medical Aptitude Test also.
Online coaching is compulsory to succeed in for FMGE / USMLE. There is only one institute in India, which offers the coaching in modular form. Others conduct offline classes of 5-8 hours classes for 10 – 15 days.
Why should they repeat when the course content is already covered in their regular classes? The right option is to get online support for the doubts and many mock tests with feedback.
    • FMGE is a qualifying test, i.e. you have to score more than or equal to 50%.
    • USMLE Step 1 is like NEET –a competitive test, i.e. getting a good rank is very important.
    • USMLE Step 2 is a qualifying test, but USMLE step 3 is a competitive test for US.
    • PLAB is for doing PG in UK. It is not advised because it is very tough.
Call me on WhatsApp 0091-8106814510 for full details.
By default, a student studying in a particular country is licensed to practice in that country itself. If its citizens are graduating from other countries, they have to qualify in the Licence examination. It is true for India also. Medical graduates from US, UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada are exempted from FMGE.
Every country wants the immigrant foreign doctors to be registered in their home countries as the condition for enrolling in further studies. This is true of Germany.
To the best of my knowledge, middle-east Kingdoms like Dubai and Abu Dhabi permit foreign medical graduates to practice after they qualify in their MOH examinations. Many Indians who could not qualify in FMGE try to get in for practice. With this MOH licence, you can never get in to PG. I am not in this business. So you may have to seek further information from others.
If you don’t want to qualify in MCI’s FMGE, you can try in the USMLE Step 1 (competitive exam) in 3rd or 4th years, write USMLE Step 2 after graduation and move to USA for step 3. Do PG after getting the Residency. PGs from USA are exempt from MCI’s FMGE.
Please keep in mind that you need to prepare for the licence examination along with your regular studies. Do not get laid-out by the rumours that FMGE is very tough. Simple logic – I don’t understand why the student who has scored 70% in 10th and 12th fails to get 50% in FMGE. The only reason is that he has not prepared for the exam.
