Hi, in this segment we’re going to be doing
moxibustion for self care, for stress and energy. So, there’s a couple of points that
we can use that will really be helpful to help relieve some of that stress, actually
they can even be helpful for headaches. First one is large intestine four, it’s right between
the thumb and the forefinger, in the meaty part of the hand. And, we’re going to use
the moxibustion to gently warm that area and they may feel a heaviness in their hand, whiles
you do that, that’s very normal. Now, we’re going to do a point right below the belly
button and so it’s halfway between the belly button and the pubic bone, and it will be
right on the center line, there’s a slight depression there; just warm that. They say
that warms the “ming men fire” (we get that strong enough, you’ll live forever). The next
point is one hands breadth below the kneecap, on the outside is a slight depression, the
stomach thirty six, this is good for the chi of the body, the digestion, and we say that
if you stimulate this point everyday, that you’ll live forever. And then, we want liver
three, which is right here between, it’s kind of like the LI four on the hand, but on the
foot. We actually combine this with the one on the hand specifically for stress, it’s
called the four gates. So, we can warm this point and this is the same on both sides.
The liver three is on both feet and we can warm all of these points. Stomach thirty six.
LI four and he’s only got one rin four, so, we can warm those up. The four gates, the
LI four and the liver three are the two that are best for stress. So, you can either stimulate
those with a moxi stick or you can just massage and press on those for a really great benefit.
